We hope everyone is managing to stay safe and healthy during this challenging time. In light of the situation, we would like to provide a few updates regarding how we may be able to help:

  1. Rhino’s (virtual) doors are still open and we are actively looking for new investment opportunities. Our investment thesis of backing storm-chasing founders building capital efficient business has not changed. If you are the founder of an early-stage technology company in Western Canada that fits this criteria, we want to hear from you - https://www.rhinoventures.vc/contact
  2. Starting next week, we are implementing virtual office hours for founders of early-stage tech companies in Western Canada. Sessions will be held weekly on Thursdays from 4PM - 430PM PST. Jay Rhind (Partner) and John Najafi (Associate) will hold group Q&A sessions to help answer any questions you may have surrounding topics of raising capital in this environment, business continuity planning, expense management, revenue expansion etc. Please submit your question(s) in advance to help us plan for a productive conversation. If you are interested in attending, email candace@rhinoventures.vc with your name, company, and question(s) - we will send you the Zoom link to join.
  3. We understand that this can be a difficult time for both founders and their employees where tough decisions need to be made. If you are a founder that has had to lay off a portion of their staff or are someone finding themselves looking for a new role, please email candace@rhinoventures.vc including your LinkedIn and/or resume and what types of position(s) you are looking for. We still have plenty of companies hiring and open positions within the portfolio. Due to significant volume, we will only be able to respond to qualified candidates.

While we will try to respond as quickly as possible, in regards to the above initiatives, this is an extremely busy time for us as we work to support both our Crash and our broader community, so please try to be patient with us. Also, please share this post to spread the word on how we can help! Most importantly, remember to take the time to look after yourselves and those around you while we all work through this together. Thank you!
